South Asia related research

In December 2009, Martin Wieser received SEK 600 000 as a three-year International Collaborative Research Grant from the Swedish Research Links programme (funded by Sida and the Swedish Research Council) for an India related project, entitled ”Indian-Swedish Cooperation in Space Research”. The research project will be carried out in collaboration with Dr. Anil Bhardwaj, Vikram Sarabhai Space Center (VSSC), Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. VSSC is the leading Indian centre for development of satellite launch vehicles and associated technologies. The Centre pursues active research and development in a host of distinct technology domains like aeronautics, avionics, composites, etc with a view to achieve self-reliance in the high tech realm of launch vehicle technology.
