Second Nordic Conference on South Asian Studies for Young Scholars

 

The objective of the Nordic Conference on South Asian Studies for Young Scholars is to gather masters students, Ph.D. candidates, and postdoctoral researchers, along with other junior scholars who are affiliated with universities in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden) and who focus on South Asia in their work.

The conference will provide an opportunity for young scholars to present their current and future research projects, establish contacts with colleagues in the Nordic countries, and discuss the challenges and opportunities of career planning and conducting research in South Asian Studies.

The conference will also provide young scholars with an opportunity to learn about ongoing Nordic network activities in South Asian Studies and together with senior colleagues discuss essential issues related to funding, publication, academic networks and meetings, teaching, and the practical implications of conducting research in the South Asian region.

The conference is open to masters students, Ph.D. candidates, and postdoctoral researchers from all disciplines who have a special interest in the South Asian region and are affiliated with universities in the Nordic countries. The working language of the conference is English.
